The Bicyclist 7: Sir Conrad

Magnify the image

There's a new Bicyclist episode, and it's good.

The main actors are "getting their legs." Conrad doesn't induce flinching. Steve - who reveals her real name in this episode - is a pleasure to watch. She's in character, believable, and comfortable.

I want more. I want longer episodes. I want to see how some of the pieces fit together, if they do.

The writing is best when it's original. I don't mind the double entendre in this episode or the occasional tired joke (remember vacuums suck?) or situation, but though those things don't detract, they don't add anything. Different stuff, even when it's weird or silly, is good. What the heck was that "glute power" thing? Sir Conrad v. the Demon SUV had me laughing.

Rocky Hillside

In the dark of the moon, in the flying snow, in the dead of winter,

war spreading, families dying, the world in danger,

I walk the rocky hillside, sowing clover.
