Have I mentioned Colorado's tradition of spineless and dopey senators? Oh, I guess I have. Update: Nothing has changed.
Our Democratic senators continue voting for bad things (and spinelessly at that.) This time they voted in favor of the NRA's concealed carry bill.

Gerty and I finally made it over to Vine Street. Place was packed with wait times close to an hour. Free little glasses of beer and fries soothed those waiting for tables.
Most of the food was the blandest we have eaten in Denver since Woolworth's cafeteria closed. Pesto is supposed to have pine nuts in it. Some - the "roasted red pepper" soup - was execrable.
Service was okay -- our order was taken, the food appeared, and a server checked in to see if we wanted more beer. No comment about several nearly untouched dishes.
Beer, too, was just okay, mostly bland. Aside from some ghastly glasses during the Chop House's start up phase, Quinn's Golden Ale is the worst beer I have ever had.
I don't know which is more discouraging that the food and drink are mediocre or that the place was jammed.

The world's first and only cruiser magazine has it's home right here in Denver. Aren't we the lucky ones!
A east side (Park Hill) non-profit bike place that encourages folks to build and fix their own bikes and gives them the tools and help to actually do it. Nice dedicated folks who seem to know what they are doing. (As befits a foundation-funded operation, the website description is opaque and baffling, but I've been there and it's a good place.)
