You Only Matter If You're In A Car
From the NYTimes:
New York State would make it a felony to drive while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle . . . .
How bizarre. It will only be a felony to drive drunk if there's a child in the car?
The people in the car are protected by tons of steel and a myriad of bags, crush, zones, cages, and other safety features. It's the people outside the car that are most endangered by drunk drivers.
In car-addled America, if you're not in a car, you don't exist.
